2022-2023 VT School Program

The VT Department of Health has contracted with Informed Green Solutions to provide environmental health and asthma training and technical assistance to Vermont's PreK-12 schools. We are partnering with those programs as well as VT School Board Insurance Trust, Agency of Education's School Facilities Improvement Project, State Building Janitorial Supply Contracts, and the VT Buildings Grounds and Services Environmental Health and Safety Program.

Vermont Law prohibits the sale or provision to K-12 schools of any cleaning product (defined as an institutional compound intended for routine cleaning, including general purpose cleaners, bathroom cleaners, glass cleaners, carpet cleaners, floor care products, and hand soaps) or air fresheners that are not certified safer by a reputable 3rd party or available through VT State Contracts.

The training slideshows, available below, are accompanied by compelling narratives with Q&A and are generally executed virtually. Technical assistance with facilities staff is done on campus for building and inventory assessment.
